Buddy Turner is a Preston County native who brings over 15 years of civil trial experience to individuals and businesses throughout north central West Virginia. He is admitted to practice in both West Virginia and Pennsylvania. Buddy’s primary practice areas include:

EDUCATION & PROFESSIONAL EXPERIENCE

Buddy graduated Order of the Coif upon earning his Juris Doctor degree from the West Virginia University College of Law as a member of the Class of 2004, for which he was also elected Class President. During his time there, he served as a member of the Republican Law Caucus and the West Virginia University Law Review. Buddy was awarded prestigious CALI Awards in both Constitutional Law and Trial Advocacy.

Upon graduating from law school, Buddy began his professional practice with Jackson Kelly, PLLC at their Morgantown, West Virginia office. In 2007, Buddy returned to Kingwood and practiced with the firm of McNeer, Highland, McMunn and Varner, L.C. Together with Mark Gaydos, he founded Gaydos & Turner, PLLC to focus more intently on delivering exceptional legal counsel, representation, and service for his clients.

Buddy is a proud veteran who served our nation as an Operations Officer with the United States Coast Guard, culminating in his receipt of the Coast Guard Achievement Medal for his service in Radionavigation.

Buddy is a member of the West Virginia State Bar, the Pennsylvania Bar Association and both the Monongalia and Preston County Bar Associations. Buddy has thrice been featured in the Rising Star section of the Virginia/West Virginia Super Lawyer Magazine.

COMMUNITY COMMITMENT

Buddy is actively involved in the community. He formerly served as Chairman of the Preston County Republican Executive Committee and as former Treasurer of the Kingwood Rotary Club. He is a wrestling coach and an officer of the West Virginia Youth Wrestling Association. Buddy is active with the Preston County Buckwheat Festival and is the General Chairman for the 79th Preston County Buckwheat Festival in 2020.

Buddy and his wife, Tina, have five children: Alana, Nikayla, Talia, Cole, and Ava, and 4 grandchildren. In his free time, Buddy enjoys hunting, fishing and traveling.
